WinRAR 3.62 Free License Key

German PC magazine PC Welt is running a promotion giving away free genuine license keys for Winrar 3.62, The popular file archiver costs around $29 but can be downloaded and registered free using the special registration link provided by the magazine.

The registration is meant for German users only but the license key works well on both German and English versions of WinRAR,
I will also be sharing a simple hack at the end of this post to register Winrar 3.62 using a different approach.

You should now receive an email from Winrar in German with few links, follow the second link having download.php in the url.
Now click on the link saying “Download des Lizenzschlüssels” to download “rarkey.rar” file, Open “rarkey.rar” file to get “rarreg.key” which will automatically get recognized by Winrar.
Another simple hack to get fully functional version of Winrar is to simply install the latest Winrar 3.71, and install Winrar 3.62 without uninstalling 3.71, and you will have a fully functional registered version of Winrar 3.62.

    You both Product xyz, a cd with oem software was include in the package. the product is sold in many countries from manufacture xyz. I dont think if a few thousend have this product that the key can get lost.
    Will search my old CD's which was include by my DVD writers there is Nero OEM 7 or 8 include by LG retail drives and some more. I think PowerDVD,.... Key is always the same per/product. Also some mainboard cd's have oem soft included.

    p.s. avast shows a lot false positive compaired to Norman but better LiveOnCare. You see how deep it scan by ms live care. Pack with xcomp programs failed by Bitdefender, Normand, many more. Kaspersky scan it right as well Nod and MS AV. Rest shows fals positive and do not scan the files deep, looks like read just from signature and mark as virus without scan/unpack decompress it at all.

    Are you sure with that OEM software and this "special deals" with zero coast?

    I know it by nod32 with 3 months license for free. Since a while its only posted in some forums by them salesman teams as promotion. Cant found it by any official distribution site anymore. I don't link visitors to sign up in AV related forums to get there a license for it.

    3.62 is not much different to latest 3.71.
    The only reassion can be:
    "enable editing of locked archive and invalide ...." if use special patched. 7zip compress zip and 7zip stronger in some using cases. Rar password can easy hack, 7zip pass not so easily.

    Avast! good for Workstation with MUI (multi user language interface) languages can switch in Avast + server edition available in 32 and 64 bit.
