Image for Windows presents a cost-effective and reliable solution for
drive image backup and restoration, offering a streamlined approach to comprehensively back up all data, applications, and operating systems residing on your hard drive. Backup files can be directly archived on external USB and
FireWire™ drives, internal or network drives, and even directly to CD, DVD, or BD media. The Image for Windows suite includes an intuitive
MakeDisk wizard for the creation of a recovery boot disk. To reinstate your data, applications, and operating systems to their state at the time of backup, simply initiate the recovery disk and restore the requisite partition(s) or drive(s). This procedure is engineered for optimal simplicity.
Image for Windows further includes licenses for
Image for DOS and Image for Linux. These complementary products provide identical robust drive image functionalities without requiring a functional Windows installation. Additionally, a licensed copy of the
TeraByte OS Deployment Tool Suite (TBOSDTS) Pro is incorporated. TBOSDT Pro encompasses a suite of powerful utilities that facilitate, among other capabilities, the
deployment of Windows to diverse hardware configurations.
Image for Windows is compatible with Win64 (x64) and all Windows versions, including Windows Vista, Windows Servers, and Windows 7.
Additional details regarding the product's features and a visual overview can be found on the homepage.
Initial observations of TeraByte Image for Windows are as follows:
Following the installation of TeraByte Image for Windows v2.63a, a system restart is necessary to configure the complimentary
PHYLock add-on. This add-on is essential for enabling Image for Windows to execute consistent and reliable backups of partitions or volumes currently in use.
The application features a streamlined interface, providing direct access to its core functionalities. Further program details and visual representations are available through the provided links.
A comprehensive backup of a Windows 7-64 bit operating system partition was performed to a distinct partition on an internal drive. The PHYLock process necessitated an initial setup period, after which the 28 GiB backup was finalized in 8 minutes and 52 seconds. This equates to an approximate transfer rate of 3 GiB/min or 53 MB/sec.
Unlike the DOS iteration, which mandated a system reboot, the Windows version operates efficiently on an active system, thereby improving user experience.
In partnership with
TeraByte Unlimited, we are providing five complimentary licenses and an exclusive 40% discount for the initial 20 customers who complete their purchase via the

The last time I format my computer about 4 months ago, I'm using Windows 7 features for backing up, and I really want to try using this software, because the version of Windows I'm using does not support backup to network
ReplyDeleteThank you Chris, TheDutchJewel & TeraByte Inc.One of the bestest programs there is regarding backing up PC, Image for Windows has a very small installation footprint & my image-size of windows7-x64 = 3.6GB.3.6GB (normal compression) is very small compared to other products in same category which usually sums up 40-70% larger.
ReplyDeleteTime to restore the 3.6GB image using TeraByte = below 2 minutes using the linux version (IFL).. Yeah that Rocks!I restore my PC approximately 2-3 times each month.http://twitter.com/bionic_/status/90486114485411840---PS.. you forgot adding the link to "40% off"

About 2 months back, when I installed a SATA drive and finally stopped using PATA ones
ReplyDeleteI reformatted my harddisk less than 2 months ago. I did not re-install window but just restored from Todo Backup Pro Image.
ReplyDeleteI have never use "Image for Windows" before but heard of it long time ago. I do not know if this perform better than Todo Backup Pro or not.
What I am looking in an imaging software is speed of backup and restore as well as size of image created. Also, it must be light weight and not consume too much system resources.
This is a good opportunity to try out TeraByte product.
