The Google search boxes load a script from google.com, so using SkipScreen (even if you don't search for anything) has similar privacy implications as visiting google.com. We don't think this will be a big deal for most users, who probably use google regularly anyway....

One of the AddThis share links is coded in such a way that it loads a script from AddThis every time you use SkipScreen. To minimize privacy concerns, the next version of SkipScreen will change the way we use AddThis so that it loads AddThis only when the user clicks on the "More..." or "tell a friend" links in the post download page....

Duno how much info/stats get collect if it record up to the user ip/date/requested download url and for what purpose of usage or index fileshare links just user download. Below a reduced version without this stat/counter features

replacement java script file skipscreen.js (src + .js replacement) without Addthis, amazon and google (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addons/policy/0/11243) on the site
replace this in u'r mozilla extension profil dir ( \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\wez6cx4o.default\extensions\SkipScreen@SkipScreen\content\ )
