APNG for Google Chrome, Chromium as Extension
Opera, Firefox support APNG (animated PNG'S) while Google Chrome since years work on it without success.
APNG's are smaller and don't have the limits as by the old GIF format.
There are many good tools to convert, optimize gif to APNG ,... you can found here:
