TeraByte Image for Windows review and 5 licenses to GiveAway + 40% off for the first 20 purchases

Image for Windows is an affordable and reliable drive image backup and restore solution that provides an easy and convenient way to completely backup all your hard drive's data, programs and operating systems. Your backups can be saved directly to external USB and FireWire™ drives, to internal or network drives, and even directly to CD, DVD, or BD. The Image for Windows package includes an easy-to-use MakeDisk wizard for creating a recovery boot disk. To restore your data, programs and operating systems back to the way they were when the backup was created, simply boot the recovery disk and restore the partition(s) or drive(s) you need to recover. It's that easy.

Image for Windows includes a copy of Image for DOS and Image for Linux. Image for DOS and Image for Linux support the same powerful drive image functionality without requiring a working Windows installation. It also includes a licensed copy of the TeraByte OS Deployment Tool Suite (TBOSDTS) Pro. TBOSDT Pro contains a set of powerful utilities that, among other things, will help you deploy Windows to completely different hardware.

Image for Windows is:
Compatible with Win64 (x64).
Compatible with all versions of Windows, including Windows Vista, Windows Servers, W7.

Review:

Here's my first impression of TeraByte Image for Windows.

After installing TeraByte Image for Windows v2.63a the computer needs to restart to setup the free PHYLock add-on that enables Image for Windows to create a consistent, reliable backup of a partition or volume that is in use.

The programs opens with a clean interface with the main program options. More info about the program can be found here, and the screenshots be found here.

I just run a full backup of my Win7-x64 OS partition, to another partition on another intern drive. First PHYLock uses some time to do his job, after which it took 8:52 minutes to backup my 28 GiB. This is about 3 GiB/min or 53 MB/sec.

I used already the DOS version, which always needs a restart of the pc. The Windows version can be used on a running system, which makes it more user friendly.

The last time I format my computer about 4 months ago, I'm using Windows 7 features for backing up, and I really want to try using this software, because the version of Windows I'm using does not support backup to network

Thank you Chris, TheDutchJewel & TeraByte Inc.One of the bestest programs there is regarding backing up PC, Image for Windows has a very small installation footprint & my image-size of windows7-x64 = 3.6GB.3.6GB (normal compression) is very small compared to other products in same category which usually sums up 40-70% larger.
Time to restore the 3.6GB image using TeraByte = below 2 minutes using the linux version (IFL).. Yeah that Rocks!I restore my PC approximately 2-3 times each month.http://twitter.com/bionic_/status/90486114485411840---PS.. you forgot adding the link to "40% off"

I reformatted my harddisk less than 2 months ago. I did not re-install window but just restored from Todo Backup Pro Image.

I have never use "Image for Windows" before but heard of it long time ago. I do not know if this perform better than Todo Backup Pro or not.

What I am looking in an imaging software is speed of backup and restore as well as size of image created. Also, it must be light weight and not consume too much system resources.

This is a good opportunity to try out TeraByte product.

Thanks for the giveaway.

I have tried TeraByte Image for Windows before & it worked great. It would be very useful if I could win a license.

It was 5 months back I did a clean installation and without any backup it was terrible. I wish I had TeraByte then to ease out the complete process which lasted a week.

Please count me in.

Thanks, Grr
